The Morimoto Standalone CANBUS Wiring Harness is the ideal solution for vehicles equipped with sensitive or CANBUS-controlled headlight systems. Designed to eliminate common issues such as bulb-out warning messages, headlight flickering, and unreliable HID operation, this harness makes upgrading to aftermarket HID lighting simple and dependable.

Unlike a traditional relay harness, the Morimoto Standalone Harness connects directly to your vehicle's factory headlight circuit while incorporating a built-in resistor pack that simulates the electrical load of a standard halogen bulb. This allows the vehicle's computer to recognize the headlights correctly, preventing warning lights and error codes on many European vehicles.

To ensure reliable HID ignition and stable performance, each harness features a premium Japanese-made Rubycon 6800µF capacitor, providing the additional power required to ignite HID ballasts while maintaining consistent operation.

Please Note: This harness is not recommended for most Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicles, which typically require Morimoto's dedicated Mopar Spec wiring solutions.

Quick & Easy Installation

Compared to a conventional relay harness, the Morimoto Standalone Harness offers a much cleaner and simpler installation with fewer wiring connections. Simply connect the factory headlight input to the harness, connect your HID ballast, and you're ready to go.

Sold as a Pair

Each package includes two standalone CANBUS harnesses, providing one harness for each headlight. These harnesses are intended to replace a traditional relay harness, not be used alongside one.

Important Compatibility Information

This harness is NOT compatible with vehicles that use Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on the low beam circuit, as the pulsed low-voltage signal used by many DRL systems can prevent proper HID operation.

Vehicles that utilize high beam DRLs generally do not experience this issue.
